At the Cluster Meeting on Dec. 11th in Santa Cruz the group recommended that all the California branches support the following bills/initiatives (1) with a branch endorsement and (2) by collecting members’ signatures on the petitions [at a minimum] and if possible hold one meeting or event to present all seven of the bills/initiatives.

    • Paid Sick Days, AB400
    • California One Care SB810
    • California Disclose Act  AB1148
    • Safe California Act (death penalty repeal)
    • Rescue Education California (oil extraction tax)
    • AB 685 Human Right to Water
    • AB591 – Oil and Gas Production: Hydraulic Fracturing
  • The California Disclose Act and the Rescue Education California Initiative are recommended by the Cluster participants as meriting full support by every California branch.  We propose that every branch be as involved in these campaigns as is possible for them considering their membership’s time and energy.
